Evaluation of bread wheat varieties and breeding lines in national yield trial

The present study wns undertaken to identify and select desirable bread wheat genotypes under rainfed condition. Total of 267 lines was compared with local check. The experiments included NPBWYT-1, NPBWYT-2, BWYT - A, BWYT-B1, BWYT- B2 with 144, 81,36,20,and 16 genotypes respectively. The entries were compared with the local checks, Sardari (bread wheat check). Selection was mainly based on the field performance and appearance.
