One of the main problems in rapeseed cultivation in rainfed condition is unknown date of first effective rain in fall. Present investigation carried out to study the effect of different sowing dates on double zero varieties of rapeseed in rainfed condition. 20 varieties along with 4 different sowing dates and supplementary irrigation evaluated in strip plot experiment in RCBD with 3 replications in 5 locations (Sararood, Kherkeh, Maraghe, Shirvan and Zanjan). In 3 locations (Sararood, Maraghe and Zanjan) all the varieties in different sowing dates could not reach to rosette stage and they killed by cold and frost. In Shirvan all sowing dates damaged except second date of sowing. This date was early planting with one time irrigation. Aviso showed thehighest seed yield (1900 Kglha) in this sowing date. In Kherkeh like Shirvan all the sowing dates damaged except second date of sowing that was early planting with one time irrigation. Parade showed the highest seed yield with 1912 kg/ha in this research station. In general, results showed that rapeseed winter planting in rainfed condition of cold / semi-cold areas of Iran are successful if did at least one time irrigation after planting.
