Maturity of maize, can be divided in to three groups: late maturity (FAO 700), medium maturity (FAO 500-600) and early maturity (FAO 100-500). So, there are wide ringed of maturity, in each group. Different factors (Genetic, environment and managment) affect potential yield of maize. Variety, planting date, plant density, (row spacing, plant spacing in the row) duration of season, biotic and abiotic stresses are important factors that will determin final yields. Beacause of faceing to different stresses and undiesirable situations, earliar estiminations of grain yield will be accompanied by more risk. However, when it is necesery to determine grain yield or a maize farm, we suggested different methods based on damage time, in this report.
