To select and release high-yielding and adaptable barley varieties for moderate zone, are used introduction varieties containing appropriate traits(highyielding, resistance to diseases, high quality, and adaptable) in addition to national varieties. In this study, five barley nurseries from ICARDA including: two yield trial and two observation nurseries were evaluated. Variance analysis of grain yield showed significant difference among genotypes . However ,none of the genotypes had a yield higher than checks in locations . Mean comparison of yield among genotypes revealed that genotypes 24, 22 and 2 in IBYT-MRA had the highest yield respectively. Observation nurseries were including: IBON-MRA and IBON-LRAM. In overall, taking into consideration plant height and plant type, early maturity, resistance to diseases and lodging and grain yield, from 220 evaluated genotypes, 78 entries were selected and conducted to preliminary experiments of moderate zone in next year.
