In Conventional Plant breeding, hybridization is the most effective method for producing new desirable varieties. Segregating within populations starts from F2 generation and continues to F6 or F7. In this research 145 segregating populations of F4, F5 and F6 generations derived from Karaj crossing block program, were Studied. Considering desirable traits such as earliness, suitable height, desirable plant type, resistance or tolerance to common diseases, good tillers, spike size and type, resistance to lodging and durability of the leaves, selection between and within the families was carried out. .Modified bulk method was used for selection suitable plants and finally 50, 85 and 41 of F4, F5 and F6 generations were selected respectively, for next crop season.
