In this study 13 new single crosses of grain corn hybrids from late and mid mature groups were compared with KSC704 as control in Torogh Agricultural Research station of Mashhad, Iran on 2008 and 2009. The experimental design was RCBD with 4 replications. The results of ANOVA showed that despite of significant differences among new corn hybrids for many of studied traits, there was no significant differences among single crosses for grain yield. Also, the hybrid no. 4 (K3547/5 × K19) with 12.460 ton/ha and hybrid no. 5 (K166A ×K18) with 7.573 ton/ha had the highest and lowest grain yield, respectievely. Furthermore, the KSC704 variety as control with 11.898 ton/ha had the third rank among hybrids after hybris no. 4 (K3547/5 × K19) and 1(K3547/4 × K18). The results of means comparison for grain yield on second year showed that the commercial hybrid (KSC704) with 13.940 and hybrid no. 8 (KLM77029/8-12-3-2-3 × MO17) with 9.859 ton/ha were the best and the worst hybris, respectievely. The results of combined analysis of variance showed that means of grain yield and studied traits on second year were better than the first one. Overall, the control variety (KSC704) with 12.92 ton/ha has the highest yield within 2 years and KSC705 and KSC706 as elit varieties with no significant differences in compared to control were the proper varieties for corn production.
