The main objective of this thesis was to determine the effect on the yield, of four levels of Biorend, 0,0; 7,8; 10,4, and 13,0 cm/kg of seed on some agronomic characteristics and oil contents, in three spring raps varieties, two of canola type, Westar and Oseco-1, and one traditional, Norin 16. The effect of Biorend on the agronomic characteristics was statistically not significant and only trends to rise took place when Biorend doses increased. As for yield, the treatment only affected positively the variety Oseco-1. This produced an increase of 28,6%. The other two varieties had no significant yield increase due to increases in doses of Biorend; an important trend to rise, from the economical point of view, occurred in Westar, which reached a higher yield of 13,87%. The oil percentage remained steady with increases in Biorend doses. In general, the answer was good an the fact that we detected a Biorend effect statistically significant, in one variety and a trend to rise in the other, makes necessary this result to be repeated but this time with a higher number of varieties and using winter and spring types in the south, which is the main zone of this species.
