The study was carried out into the feasibility for the application of small amounts of herbicides for the prevention of fruit bearing and complete rhizome destruction of Johnson grass, with previous or later mowing, in order to stop its spreading on plowland. The results obtained confirm the feasibility for the application of small amounts of Phenoxaprop-ethyl on the unmowed Johnson grass with the subsequent mowing of the regenerated mass and the application of herbicide Gluphosinate on the regenerated Johnson grass after the mowing, but always before tasseling.
