Korea, Taiwan and the People's Republic of China are the only tropical developing countries which have a strong influence on industrialized countries in the mushroom production economy. Korea could serve as an example in mushroom production. Champignons (agraricus) are produced primarily for export and Pleurotus ostreatus for the domestic market. Production technologies are well adapted to the climatic and ecological conditions of the country.
