This the report of a rooting test for the Salvia officinalis species, where cuttings underwent the following treatments: immersion in an IBA 1000 ppm (parts per million) solution; immersion in an IBA (ROOT). As regards the numbers of cuttings, no significant differences emerged between control test and the treatments. By contrast, the use of a rooting treatment (especially IBA 3000 + Captano) brought a significant increase in the root systems of the cuttings. This is a fact of great interest for sage, which is often planted in dry terrain and cultivated without irrigation.
