The number of leaves/plant, height and yield of green gram was significantly increased due to residual phosphate. The treatment P1, P2 and P3 proved to be significantly superior over P0 treatment. Similarly, treatment P2 was also significantly superior over P1 while it was on par with P3 in producing number of leaves/plant, height and grain yield. The irrigation treatments viz., I1 and I2 also increased the number of leaves/plant and height significantly over I3 and I4 treatments. Straw yield increased significantly with increase in irrigation frequency and phosphorus levels up to 50 kg P2O5/ha. Interaction effects between irrigation and phosphorus levels were however not significant.
