This is a study on the effect that the choice of hybrids, the number of plants and the quantity of nitrogen have on increasing the production of maize grains per unit of area along with irrigation. Of all the studied hybrids, NSSC-606 gave the highest yield, while hybrid NSSC-533 WX gave the lowest yield. Hybrid NSSC-555 and NSSC-444 gave identical yields. In the first experimental year, a higher yield was obtained with the hybrid NSSC-444. The maize grain yield of all the studied hybrids increased up to the mean number i.e., 74,000 plants per ha. Further increases in the number of plants per ha did not significantly increase the yield. The quantity of nitrogen did not have a significant effect on the increase of the maize grain yield.
