The necessity of choosing the agricultural cooperation as the form of activity that is the most understandable for peasants is discussed. The main special features of cooperatives are outlined. First of all they are seen as a combination of labour, material and technical resources with the aim of their effective use. Some statictical data is given on development of cooperatives in Ukraine. Setting up a network of servicing cooperatives with taking into consideration the foreign experience should be supported on the part of the state.
