Vplyv globalnych klimatickych zmien na geneticku sktrukturu populacii lesnych drevin.
1996
Paule L.
The influence of climatic changes on the genetic structure of populations as well as on the genetic processes within the population are considered. The planned changes of the forest management concepts should be based on the assumption that those populations best adapted for present climatic conditions will not prosper under changed climatic conditions. New populations will represent a new set of genotypes which will be a product of sequential evolutionary changes, or, in the case of quicker climatic changes, will replace the original indigenous populations. Selection of the prospectively suitable forest tree specie populations should be based on broadly framed provenance experiments, by which the expected climatic changes could be simulated. The local populations with high diversity will be exceptionally important as the centres of high diversity for reforestation of new localities. Priority should be given to their conservation.
