Santavec I. | Tajnsek A.
A static long term experiment including 3 fertilizer treatments (without organic fertilizers, with ploughing under farmyard manure, with ploughing under straw) and 4 levels of mineral N fertilization was carried out in 1993-95 to determine the content of ash, N, P, K, Mg and Na in dry matter of maize grains. Samples were analysed by standard Weend's method. Contents of ash, N, P, Mg, and Na were within the range of literature data. K level was lover than reported values for 1 g/kg of dray matter, while Ca content was 5 to 10 times lower. Increasing N rates decreased the content of ash, P, Ca and Mg. The content of K and Na cannot be casually connected either with different cropping patterns or with yield height.
