A survey was conducted in two areas in Leyte from February to December, 1986 to determine the seasonal abundance of the psyllid pest and its natural enemies. The highest number of the pest was recorded in June. An unidentified species of orb spider was the major mortality factor of psyllids in Villaba, Leyte [Philippines]. It was abundant in April and May. The incidence of Entomophthora sp., Hirsutella citriformis, Paecilomyces farinosus and Fusarium sp. varied throughout the season but was highest in July. Precipitation affected the psyllid population and its natural enemies.
