Drying characteristics of cattle excrement and food processing residues.

The shape and the size of drying sample were discussed for determining the drying characteristics of the phytogenic residues. Thinly and cylindrically formed samples brought stable and reappearable results. The drying characteristics curves of cattle excrement, solid bean curd waste and brewer's grain waste have similar properties. They have almost no constant rate drying period, and the decreasing rate drying period begins from the first. The drying process is simulated by the diffusion equation with the boundary condition that the drying rate decreases in proportion to the moisture content of the drying surface.
