Using computer for estimate of swine carcass quality was conducted by self-developed program with C Language. The output would show in Thai by using Thai character standard from Office of Industrial Standard. Input data was consisted of swine number, live weight, hot carcass weight, backfat thickness measuring at first lib, last lib, last lumbar vertebrae, end point of base of M. gluteus medius and middle point of base of M. gluteus medius and muscle thickness measuring at end point of base of M. gluteus medius. The program can estimate dressing percentage, average backfat thickness, LSQ (Fat/muscle quotient), carcass grade in USDA standard and Germany standard in Thai with high efficiency, especially no adding or adapting hardware.
