The content of fatty acid (FA) has been evaluated in wheat root after infection by two strains of Fusarium culmorun 21, 553 and a strain of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici 546 Race 2 (CCM Brno). The content of free, non saturated FA increased after every strains infestation from 6-80%, contrary to the content of bound, non saturated FA which decreased in an average from 48-66% as compared to the control. The content of free and bound saturated FA is in opposite relation to the content of non saturated. There are differences in content of palmitic FA according to used species, namely after F. oxysporum infestation. All the used strains produced toxins (F-2, DON, DAS, T-2) in vitro and in vivo, too. The level of toxins was higher in vivo than in vitro.
