Experiments were conducted in a greenhouse and at Muara Experimental Farm, Bogor in the 1988 dry season. Design of the experiment was a randomized complete block design with 3 replications. The experiment consisted of 15 treatments: 14 different foliar spray fertilizers and one control. Basic fertilizers at the rates of 22.5 kg N + 23 kg P2O5 + 25 kg K2O/ha were applied at planting time. Wilis variety was used with a plant spacing of 40 cm x 10 cm, 2 plants/hill for the field experiment and 2 plants/plod of 4 kg soils for the greenhouse experiment. Results of the experiments showed that foliar spray fertilizers did not affect soybean growth either in the greenhouse or in the field experiments. Yield components (number of field pod/plant and number of seed/pod) were affected by the foliar spray fertilizers in the greenhouse experiment, but not in the field experiment. The soybean grain yields, however, were affected significantly in the greenhouse as well as in the field experiments. In the greenhouse experiment, foliar spray fertilizers Molyfert, Metalik and Vitalik P increased grain yields by 46.56 percent, 47.38 percent, and 45.57 percent, respectively, while in the field experiment the foliar spray fertilizers super flourishing and Vitalik P increased grain yields by 38.50 percent and 32.65 percent respectively.
