The following topics were discussed: grain drying - the energy balance and technological solution, some technological properties of maize during the combine harvesting and drying, harmful changes in damp maize in the post-harvesting period, damages of maize grain during harvesting, simultaneous drying of different varietes of maize grain and hybrids of different humidity at the beginning of drying process, the arrangement of temperatures in 20 cm thick layer of maize drying, comparative energy balance of grain with and without pre-heating, the problem of sunflower drying, of maize seed drying, the possibility of the capacity increasement of dryers by applying driaeration, the rationalization of the drying process and finally the efficiency of corn cob utilization in dryers with direct air heating. The evaluation of maize humidity in mean samples, grain humidity adjustment "GF II", automatic adjustment of the entry temperature of drying agent, dryers "VSZ II" and "MONTING", the organization of reception, drying and storing of maize grain, the account of the dryer operating, suggestions for the definition and standards of drying conditions, were also among the discussed subjects.
