In this paper the activity of natural (238U, 226Ra, 40K) and produced (137Cs) radionuclides in honey from different locations of Serbia (Yugoslavia), 6 years after Chernobyl accident, have been presented. The concentration of 238U, 226Ra and 137Cs in honey bee showed only slight variation depending on location and type of honey bee pasture. However, the 40K content showed significant variation. The highest level of 40K was found in lime-tree and forest honey. According to the obtained results it can be concluded that the estimated samples of honey were, without limitations, usable for human consumption.
