Efecto de la poblacion sobre rendimiento y calidad agroindustrial del brocoli (Brassica oleracea var. Italica Plenck).
1993
Rivera C Juan Manuel
The experiment to determine the effect of density and spatial arrangement on the yield and quality of the broccoli spread for the internal fresh market and agroindustry took place during the summer of 1991 in the experimental station of Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile, in the community of Curacavi, in the metropolitan region, Different densities and spatial arrangement were used. The results demonstrated that the yield per unit area augmented significantly with the population increase, and that the yield and quality increase for the agroindustry also. Furthermore, it was observed that equal densities with different spatial arrangement did not present equal yields. The conclusion was that by using higher densities, for the internal market and the agroindustry equally, higher yields and increase agroindustry quality could be obtained. No definite pattern to determine the best spatial arrangement was found.
