Genetic co-efficient of variation was high for grain yield and height of the plant which indicated wider scope for selection. It was also more for number of tillers in four hybrids, days to emergence of ear in the two hybrids, days to maturity in one hybrid, number of spikelet/ear in one hybrid. Low G.C.V. was observed for length of ear. High expected genetic advance along with higher heritability was observed for grain yield in all hybrids, number of tiller in four hybrids, length of ear in four hybrids, number of spikelets/ear in two hybrids, height of the plant in three hybrids which indicate that the variation had to be of additive genetic type. Very low E.G.A. with high heritability was for days to emergence of ear and days to maturity.
