Mendoza M J.G. | Jaimes E.J.
This work stablished as objectives to limit and to analyse the edaphogeomorphologic systems of two sample areas of the Castan river basin. It was applied the criterion of the geomorphologic delineation defined by Elizalde (1983) and the edaphogeomorphologic model proposed by Elizalde and Jaimes (1989), in order to recognize, identify and classify the superficial characteristics of the ground, through the photolecture, photoanalysis and the photointerpretation of imagery of radar and aerial photographs. The obtained results confirmed that the methodology applied constitutes an appropiated procedure to carry out an edaphogeomorphologic analysis, from the levels of cartographic syntesis were generalized to the more detailed ones, observing the taxonomic purity of the delineations increases in proportion as the scale of mapping increases. It's concluded that such analysis allows to generate basic information in order to plan the use, management and the conservation of soil areas of montainous relief.
