The role of liming, application of mineral and organic-mineral fertilizers, ploughing, disking, three-depht tillage, mixed crops and their co-effect on the regulation of the number of cereal aphids in barley have been studied. Undersowing barley with red clover decreased the aphid index. Fertilizers application, disking and three-depth tillage increased index comparing with ploughing. Combination of the three-depth tillage with organic-mineral fertilizers application on the plots without clover undersowing increased aphid index. Application of organic-mineral fertilizers with three-depth tillage and undersowing barley with red clover on the plots without liming is the optimal combination of agrotechnical methods permitting to receive relatively high yields of barley in the absence of chemical protection of barley against cereal aphids.
