Population dynamics and age composition of Aphis gossypii Glover at the seedling stage of cotton were studied in 1983 in Shanghai, China. The increase of the aphis population is typical logistic with the peak interval of an increasing curve 7 days. These results showed that the population size of the reproduced aphis could be predicted based on the number and percentage of sexuales in the fields.
