Man made Triticeae genomes by chromosome recombination I. Preliminary experiments and possibilities.
1988

The chromosomes of A, B, D, R, genomes in haploid triticale would be shuffled by the abnormal meiotic divisions and resulting in a spectrum of microspores with anomalous variation of sizes, viabilities, chromosome numbers and chromosome recombinants. Preliminary experiments of haploid triticale anther culture had shows that calluses and pollen plants could be raised in great number if selected haploid triticale lines or clones with high rates of callus induction and green plantlets differentiation were used as anther donors. So it becomes obvious that there are great possibilities to isolate a spectrum of new chromosome recombinants in which some new promising Triticeae genomes might be involved.
