The increase of the organic matter content and the adjustment of the soil absorption complexities through the replacement of the absorbed sodium by calcium influence the improvement of salty soils structure. To this end the sowing of lucern, clover and others combined with gypsum gives good results. The increase of the structural components makes the soil more stable towards the water washing effect. The plant which influenced most in this direction was lucern and other many-year plants of this kind.
