The results indicated that inter-cropping treatments had no significant effect on plant height, number of leaves in early growth, flowering date, length of primary raceme and 100-seed weight of castorbean. Height of primary raceme, number of pods and seeds per primary raceme, seed weight per plant and seed yield of castor were affected by intercropping systems. Intercropping caused a castorbean yield reduction with a more pronounce effect in the castorbean-corn intercrop. Castorbean-peanut intercrop gave the highest income.
