The kernels of 5 two-line maize hybrids were tested: 2 opaque hybrids (ZPSC-72 O2 and ZPSC-75 O2) and 3 standard ones (ZPSC-750, ZPSC-704 and ZPSC-611). It was determined that kernels and endosperm of opaque hybrids contained more lysine, albumine and globuline, and less zein and total proteins than standard hybrids. The proteins of kernel of opaque hybrids contain the most of glutelins, albumines and globulines and the least of zein, while proteins of standard hybrides are the richest in zein, glutelines and albumines. The endosperm of opaque hybrids in its proteins has the largest share of gluteline, zein, globuline and albumine, while the proteins of endosperm of standard hybrids have zeins, glutelines, globulines and the least of albumine. The share of total proteins, lysine, albumine and globuline in endosperm is smaller than in the kernel, while the share of zein and glutelin is larger.
