Through tests with sodium hydroxide, according to the modified Whiteside method, as well as through microscopical examinations for the somatic cells number and neutrophile leukocytes percentage determination, there have been controlled 1706 milk samples taken from different cows and every one quarter breast in particular. This test determines most effectively the increase of the milk cellulosic content especially those caused by the increase of neutrophile leukocytes quantity.
