The production orientation of an agricultural enterprise is represented by a number of products (or branches) forming the prevailing part of the market production of an agricultural enterprise. In the production region of potato and potato-oat type, the production orientation is represented by 25 production and commercial branches. Among the most important branches forming the production orientation are the stock herd of cattle, cattle in fattening, non-agricultural production, potato production, pigs in fattening and wheat. The proportion of each of these branches in the total sales is higher than 10 per cent, in the stock herd and non-agricultural production even higher than 24 per cent. The proportion of other branches is below 10 per cent in the total sales of an enterprise. The decisive branches form the production orientation of the observed production region and their proportion in the overall sales is 62,34 per cent with a dominating position of cattle breeding at 39.38 per cent.
