The heritability coefficients were calculated basing on the yield and composition of milk of 3357 cows, daughters of 90 bulls. The heritabilities in 3 lactations were: for milk yield 0.41, for fat yield 0.35, for fat content 0.29, for protein yield 0.40, protein content 0.26 and liveweight 0.35. The repeatability coefficients for these traits were: 0.39, 0.82, 0.71, 0.86, 0.78 and 0.79, respectively. The highly significant positive correlations were found between the liveweight of cows and milk yield and also between the contents of fat and protein.
