Six grades of locally produced and imported fluid compound fertilizers which were produced in 1986, 15-8-6, 5-10-10, 10-10-10, 14-7-7, 16-5-5 and 8-20-5 were conducted in the experiment by checking pH and nitrogen content every month throughout one year storage at room temperature. The results showed pH of five grades increased by 0.29 to 1.68 except 8-20-5 which slightly decreased from 6.53 at the first check to 6.30 in the last month. Nitrogen determination within one year of 5-10-10, 10-10-10 and 8-20-5 was still above the declarations. The 14-7-7 and 16-5-5 formulations got some variation but were not lower than tolerance level. Only at 15-8-6 grade that nitrogen quantity decreased lower than tolerance limit in the third month and became 13.82 % at the fifth month then kept quite constant level from the fifth to the twelfth month while its pH increased respectively from 7.14 to 8.16. It should be due to the hydrolysis of urea in basic condition which evolves ammonia gas leading to the loss of nitrogen content.
