Baby corn hybrids and baby corn composite composed of 13 single crosses, Composite 1 DMR., Rungsit 1, Thai Supersweet Composite 1 DMR., SW1, SW2, SW2301 and SW2602 were grown for yield trial at the Thailand National Corn and Sorghum Research Center during December, 1985 to March, 1986. Randomized complete block design with four replications was used in this experiment. Statistical analysis on yield and other agronomic characters were shown to be highly significant among varieties. All of those single crosses produced higher yield that were suitable agronomic characters for food industry than another varieties. The highest potential market belonged to those single crosses 85x200(A), 200(B)x182(B), 85x200(B), 200(A)x182(B) and 182(B)x200(A). There was no significant difference among several aspects of performances. ((A) = Inbreed; (B) = Selfcross).
