In connection with studies on the epidemiology of virus infections from January 1991 to December 1993 by using of the inoculation of cell cultures a total of 497 cases were examined for evidence of infection with virus diseases. In the present work evidence of infection with IBR/IPV was found in 9.7 per cent, Ad 11.3 per cent, RS 18.7 per cent, VD/MD 13.6 per cent and rotavirus infection 71.9 per cent of the cases. A total of 540 blood samples were examined on the evidence of Ad, IBR, PI-3, RS and VD antibodies. In the blood samples of 277 calves' antibodies to Ad were detected in 30.7 per cent, PI-3 39.8 per cent IBR/IPV 50.2 per cent, RS 1.1 per cent and VD/MD in 4.0 per cent of the investigated cases. The serological evidence of the antibodies in cows was the following: Ad - 61.2 per cent, PI-3 -61.3 per cent, IBR/IPV - 89.4 per cent, RS - 0 per cent and VD/MD - 8.2 per cent.
