Maize is one of the main staple food crops in Kenya. Its production is cumbered with many losses especially after maturity due to poor storage facilities and pest infestations. This has led to the formulation of a project (on farm grain storage project) to review and alleviate on farm grain losses. This paper is an evaluation of how much has been achieved by this project and how far it has to go to accomplish its objectives and when will its impact be felt in the entire country.
