An experiment on fumigation by using rice husk in corn storage process to know the storability, germination and damage of corn caused by flea and mold has been conducted. Corn (Arjuna variety) was stored in the form of hulled ear, grain, and grain mixed with rice husk dust (25 percent weight of grain) the three of them filled in plastic bag. The other form was bunched and unhulled ear of corn. The experiment design used factorial with three replications. The other factor used was fumigation time with three level of period, namely 20, 40, and 60 hours. The experiment was conducted in Maros Research Institute for Food Crop Laboratory from August 1987 to March 1988. The result of the experiment showed that the fumigation during 20 hours was able to suppress the percentage of damage by flea and decreased germination. Fumigation was able to extend storage life up to six months.
