Tench are found in very small numbers in our waters. Its production in ponds is negligible, although in first half of last century the production was just behind the carp. Tench females can be found in our ponds, but it is safer to introduce them from ponds in the region. Preparation of females and spawning is done during the month of June, while during the past month it is necessary to prepare facilities for the growing larvae and fingerlings. The limiting factor in larvae and fingerlings rearing was eating living organisms, what can be achieved by adequate method of fertilization. During further cultivation must be prepared properly balanced meals with industrial feed. Growth rate of tench was significantly slower compared with carp. Suitable ambient environment is a very important factor of good production, of favorable feed conversion and of good survival rate of fish. Literature data point to major losses in all categories of offspring, so it is necessary to constantly monitor their health condition, diagnostic parasitic, bacterial and viral diseases, as well as taking adequate preventive measures. The optimum density for growing of all categories of fish and their relation in polyculture with carp and fish from complex of China are the most basic technological parameters. Culinary quality of tench and its nutritional value of meat put it into one of the best and most respected warm water fish. Increasing demand for tench, in our country, need to do proper marketing. With the European countries after the completion of all requirements for export it is necessary to make contracts of the most economical means of placement. In our waters is present a small number of tench individuals and even in water with suitable environmental conditions for the life of tench. Therefore we plan together in the community with professionals whose competence is management of waters to populate lakes of Fruska Gora, Palic, primary ducts DTD, Bovan Lake and the river Morava.
