Spinal diseases are frequent and often frustrating reality for veterinary practitioner. Complexity and delicacy of neural tissue, together with numerous ways of treatment, both conservative and operative, dictates caution in approaching every patient. Prognostic uncertainty and dependence on sophisticated technology during diagnostic procedures certainly does not help the popularity of this intriguing and enriching field. Goal of this paper is to give an overview of various methods of treatment, and recommend, to authors opinion, most applicable ones.
