Hounds as a group of dogs in our region is quite extensive and highly respected among our hunters. Named hound is considered to be hunting dogs who love loud hunt. They are loud when you advertise to find traces of wilds, while not need to see. The first serious research and zootechniques measurements were carried out in 1905, when the three groups of hounds in this area were described. It is given a good starting point for further research and standardization of certain races of hounds. Although a lot of it has been done but there are a certain groups of dogs that are not included in previous research, are still present in the field, and our hunters are happy to use them as helpers. The largest population of all non standardization hounds breed in the territory of Serbia represents Serbian yellow hound, which according to their exterior features has some differences in relation to our described breed of hounds.
