This paper introduces the process of pelleting biomass in the pelleting plant of Eko Pelet in Backi Petrovac, founded in 2009. Existing biomass pelleting line is based on the line for pelleting hops, which dates from 1980. On the above mentioned plant monitoring and analysis of processes of energy production from biomass pellets, and analysis of plant investment cost and price of energy pellets was carried out. Following the plant, the procedure of line for pelleting wheat-straw was described and analyzed, which was not the case in Vojvodina (Serbia) in the past, because there was no successful production of such pellets. It had to be mixed with sawdust in proportion 30% of straw and 70% of sawdust. So, by using special openings on the matrix, the basic problem in the process of pelleting wheat-straw was solved: an adequate fragmentation of the material, compression material pressure, temperature and moist content of the material were achieved.
