The experiment was conducted in vegetative pots, on extremely acid soil (pH(KCl) is less than 4.5). Pseudogley, with high content of mobile aluminium (above 10 mg/100 g soil). There were tested 30 winter barley genotypes. The studied soil was poor in humus, phosphorus and potassium content. In aim to increase soil fertility and productivity of planted genotypes, various of NPK, NK and lime were applied and compared with control (soil with neutral reaction - humogley). Obtained results showed winter two-rows barley genotypes Novosadski 593 and Novosadski 589 and six-rows barley genotypes JAvor and Zenit were the most tolerant of low pH values and high mobile Al soil content. Six-rows genotypes were more tolerant than two-rows ones. All tested genotypes expressed very satisfactory reaction to use of phosphorus and lime fertilizers, especially Javor, Theresa and Grand.
