On selected soil samples investigated the content of heavy metals. Samples were taken from the factory site Petrohemija and Azotara and agricultural fields and regions are at different distances from this industrial area (experimental site of the Institute Tamis, Stari Tamis and Vojlovica). The collected soil samples were determined by the total content of investigated metals (Zn, Pb, Cr, CU and Cd) and that after the destruction conc. HNO3 and H2O2. Determination of heavy metals was carried out by atomic absorption spectrophotometry in the flame acetylene/air. The results showed significant differences between the distance from the Azotara and petrochemical to the content of heavy metals in agricultural soils.
