The aim of this paper is to examine the effect of mineral fertilizers on the yield of grass-legume mixtures and the change of their botanical composition during three-year study in mountain conditions. The study was conducted on three types of mixtures using four levels of nitrogen fertilizer for each mixture. During three years, the averag yields of the mixtures were: A – 10.85, B – 12.92, C – 10.39 t/ha of dry matter. The most significant yield was achieved in the second year. There has also been a change in botanical composition and emergence of weed species in the mixtures. Based on the results, the most recommended mixture for use in these environmental conditions is a mixture B.
