Remote condition monitoring of machines is the direct result of constant changes and advances in the field of information technologies and internet. This paper presents all the benefits of this modern approach to condition based maintenance. Also some basic guidelines for its practical implementation, based on strain and vibration measurement on minning machinery are given.
