During the growing seasons 2006 and 2007, in the eastern part of Slovenia many oil pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo L.) crops were for the first time severely infected by fungus Pseudoperonospora cubensis (Berk. and M.A. Curtis) Rostovzev.
