Presented work deals with the problem of staking-out of land boundaries and methods used for this purpose. Also there is presented development of land ownership in Slovakia and causes of the land defragmentation in the past. It can be solved by creation of the registers of new land evidence and land consolidation projects. Within these projects there is a need for measurement and staking-out of boundaries of original land parcels. During the staking-out there must be accuracy criterions fulfilled and it must be done according to current regulations. Staking-out means transferring of the boundary points from map to terrain, mostly in cases when the boundaries are not identifiable in terrain. In the work we processed staking-out plan and assessed suitability of individual methods of measurement and point staking-out.
