The introduction of GNSS technology in cadastral mapping and forest brings new opportunities for its effective use in other sectors of forestry. The present work is based on the known knowledge of GNSS and GIS, and on this basis, deals with the practical integration of GNSS and GIS inventory project in the arboretum at Secondary forestry school of J. D. Matejovie in Liptovský Hrádok. The work presents the objectives of the project, discusses the various stages of technology and procedures that were used in realisation of this project.
